Applications are the papers used to request or record a procedural step while a case remains active. The sheet should carry FIR identity, the requested action, and the date — not a blank generic letter. Study the sample on Application, then print from MPW. They are the most frequently printed documents in a working missal and, for that reason, the ones most likely to be produced carelessly — from a stale template, with the wrong FIR number, or for a step that was never actually taken.

The correct form depends on the action being requested, the authority or receiving office involved, and the current legal and departmental procedure. A template is useful only when the requested action is real and the supporting record exists. Never print an application because the template happens to be on the form list.

Choose the correct action first پہلے درست کارروائی منتخب کریں

Before opening any template, establish four things: the procedural step being taken, the authority or office involved, the date, and the supporting facts. If you cannot answer all four, the paper is not ready to be printed.

Applications sit inside a legal framework — attendance obligations, process, arrest and remand, and court directions all have provisions behind them. Read the current text from a trusted source or from the reference copies on Other Docs & Books; the section names are summarised in documentation legal framework. This article explains how the papers should read and connect, not what the law requires.

Common application categories عام درخواستوں کے زمرے

Attendance of witnesses (160-type notices)

Attendance notices or summons-related papers identify the witness, the reason attendance is needed, the date and place, and the issuing authority. Practical checks: spell the witness exactly as in their statement, give a place the person can actually reach, and keep proof of issue or service. The diary should record the action on the date it happened.

Production of documents or property

A production request identifies what is requested — a document, record, or item — the relevant case, the person or office from whom it is sought, and the period or purpose where required. Attach or reference the supporting record. If the item later arrives, the receipt closes the loop back to this request.

Remand and detention papers

These documents belong with the authorised process and should preserve the correct dates, court details, accused identity, and order. Never reconstruct detention or remand facts after the event without following the record. The dates on these papers are checked closely; an inconsistency here is far more serious than a typographical slip elsewhere.

Warrants and process

Use only the paper required for the lawful step your unit is taking. A warrant application, exemption, process note, or similar request must be linked to the relevant investigation entry and to the actual order or receipt. If no warrant was ordered, no warrant paper should be in the file.

Exemption and miscellaneous requests

Requests for exemption, adjournment-related steps, or other procedural accommodations follow the same rules: correct identity, correct authority, dated diary entry, and a recorded outcome. A miscellaneous request that never receives a response should still be shown as pending in the diary rather than disappearing.

Forensic, laboratory, and specialist requests

Covering papers for PFSA, laboratory, or other specialist examination need an exhibit list that matches the parcels actually sealed and sent. The request, the dispatch, and the eventual report should form one traceable chain.

Anatomy of a clean application صاف درخواست کی ساخت

Layouts vary, but every application should carry:

  1. Case identity — FIR number, year, date, station, district.
  2. Addressee — the correct authority or office, correctly titled.
  3. Purpose — one clear statement of what is being requested or recorded.
  4. Supporting facts — enough detail to justify the request, consistent with the diary.
  5. Persons concerned — names spelled as elsewhere in the file.
  6. Date and signature — the real date of the request.

Keep it short. An application is a request, not an argument. Two or three factual sentences that state the purpose usually outperform a page of persuasion, and they are easier to check against the record.

Keep the case identity consistent کیس کی شناخت یکساں رکھیں

Consistency is what makes an application checkable. A reader who finds three different spellings of the same witness across a notice, a statement, and the index cannot tell whether there were two people or one careless writer.

Recording the result نتیجہ درج کرنا

An application without a recorded outcome is an open loop. For every paper issued, the diary should show, on the appropriate date, what happened: notice served, person attended or did not attend, order received, property produced, reply received, or request still pending.

Where a receipt, endorsed copy, or order exists, it belongs in the file and in the index. The sequence — request, action, result — is what turns a stack of forms into a coherent record. It is also what lets a supervisor see, at a glance, which steps are complete and which remain outstanding.

Using MPW MPW کا استعمال

MPW applications can reuse FIR identity keywords so the repeated header stays consistent across every form. After inserting the keywords, replace placeholders with the real case facts, preview the Urdu layout, and compare the result with the zimni. Never use an old template containing a previous accused or FIR number — the keyword system makes the correction quick once you return to the source record.

Browse the sample cards on Sample Forms to see which layout belongs to which task, then fill the live case in the software rather than in the PDF. Templates available and how to manage them are in the MPW forms guide.
