In Missal Police Writing (MPW), FIR (First Information Report) details are the source for many later papers. If the FIR number, date, police station, or party names are wrong here, Chalan, Zimni, Applications, and other forms will repeat the same error.

- Install MPW from the Download page only.
- Have the FIR copy or station register details in front of you.
- Urdu typing and Jameel Noori Nastaleeq should already work on the PC (third-party tools; not hosted here).

MPW keeps one case record and reuses it. Chalan, Zimni, Applications, Fard, Progress Report, and similar papers take names, numbers, dates, and station details from that record. That is why FIR entry comes first: later pages stay consistent if the source is correct.
Fields to enter carefully احتیاط سے درج کرنے والے خانے
- FIR number — copy the register, including year or station codes your office uses. A missing digit repeats on every later form.
- Date and time — use the registered FIR date, not the date you are typing today unless they are the same.
- Police station and district — these print on headings and memos. Match the station that registered the case.
- Offence / sections — enter what is on the FIR so Chalan and related papers do not contradict the register.
- Accused, victim, witness — full names as used in the file. Add an accused picture only when a form such as Robkar Jail needs it.

- Open Missal Police Writing and start a new case or open the existing FIR record.
- Enter the FIR number exactly as registered.
- Enter FIR date and time, police station, district, and offence as required.
- Add accused, victim, and witness records.
- Save the case. Do not jump to print until the FIR screen looks correct.
- Open the form you need (Chalan, Zimni, Application, Fard, and so on). Use templates and keyword insertion so fields pull from this FIR.
- Preview, then print on A4 or Legal as your station requires. See print tips.

Templates in MPW insert case facts instead of retyping them. After you save the FIR, open a template and insert keywords for the fields that should come from the case. If a printed page shows a blank or an old name, the source record is usually incomplete or was edited after the last save — fix the FIR, save again, then reopen the form.

Go back to the FIR / case record and correct the source field, save, then reopen the form. Editing only the printed page leaves other documents out of date. More examples: common missal writing mistakes.
